Introduction
Burdinberri S.L. was founded in 1990, with the aim of giving a high quality and precision machining service in large tooling systems for the automobile industry.
After a fast expansion process based on the absolute satisfaction of its customers in this important sector, the company diversified its range of work, extended its horizons and set to work in other sectors (aeronautics, naval industry, aerospace industry, etc.).
Through analysing the needs of the aeronautics sector, in 1995 the specialisation process was got under way. Our engineering tripled its capacity, acquiring machines intended for aeronautics machining, purchasing Laser-Trackers for verification and fitting of large assemblies, training its professionals in the disciplines required, until we became one of the main suppliers of aeronautics tooling in this country.
Our dedication to the emerging aeronautics sector grew, though not ignoring the other sectors in which Burdinberri has participated.
The keys to this success are based on our customers’ satisfaction, through great quality, and really tight delivery times.
Our range of products for the aeronautics sector includes the design and manufacture of the following types of tooling:
· MOULDING TOOLING: Done on diverse materials such as aluminium, steel, invar, etc.. In this type of tools our key performance indicators (KPI) reveal a success of 99.9%, ensuring constant thicknesses and the sealing of the tool. Special mention should be given to invar since the reliability of these items has been absolute, in spite of the great difficulty involved through the particular features of this material.
· PLANING and/or BORING TOOLS: Done on materials such as steel, aluminium or diverse polymers, the high quality of the tools has managed to minimise the recurrent costs of the planing and boring processes, due to the savings in time enabled by the tools, with fast, reliable and permanent positioning.
· ASSEMBLY TOOLING: From the fitting of small assemblies to large tooling systems for assembly or boring of complete stabilisers. These tooling systems are defined along with the customers, one major contribution being how flexible these are; some of these tools are designed to take several products, with the consequent savings for the customer in cost and space at the plant.
· GAUGES AND CONTROL TOOLING
· RESIN MODELS FOR NICKEL TOOLING
Our company’s structure allows us to give our customers a really flexible service, able to take on and execute very diverse jobs including design and/or manufacture.
Today at Burdinberri the staff consists of 64 persons, forming a young, dynamic and enterprising team. The human resources are made up of engineers, designers, specialised technicians and auxiliary technical staff, all able to meet our customers’ needs on the basis of their lengthy experience.
By setting up annual training plans (detection/satisfaction of training needs) the continuing training and skill of the organisation’s staff is guaranteed (through the increase in capacity in order to comply with customers’ and the firm’s own requirements).
